CONTRACTURE OF HAND


FUNCTION OF HAND

The main function of the hand is to hold in place any object. 
If not possible, even though it's a live hand but it's of no use. Hand function does not develop in isolation.


Hand function is the result of neurologic development, physiologic maturation, and functional development of learned patterns of movement and motor control.





CONTRACTURE RELEASE WITH FTSG




Full-thickness graft never contract after securing over the raw area.
Split-thickness graft contacts for a period of the year .

Immediate physiotherapy has to be carried on for good mobilization of the points.

Splinting is done post-op follow up.
