PBSC - Post Burns Scar Contracture Realese with FTSG

Post Burns Scar Contracture of Little Finger


Due to thermal patient sustained burns injury invloving the skin.
Usually it's the second degree deep burns goes for Contracture.
Hand represents 1% of burns area.
Superficial burns are not taken into account.
10% percent of child burns is severe.


This case a transverse incision is made at the summit of the Contracture.
Fish mouthing done to release completely.
Passive extension achieved.
Full thickness skin graft placed over the raw area .


Harvested from groin which is closed primarily.
FTSG anchored with ethilon 2mm gap stitches..
Splint  given for correction or K wire can be placed for finger straightening .
Volar POP given .
Dressing to be done on 5 days and the 10th day for suture removal.
Splint to be maintained for 3weeks .
